Army Lieutenant Pain-Free After Double Hip Arthroscopy

In the spring of 2015, Mike Sullivan injured his hip labrum conducting an Army ROTC workout. With an upcoming 30-day military obligation right around the corner, Mike consulted Dr. Nho regarding his concerns. To accommodate with his school schedule, Dr. Nho suggested a cortisone shot to alleviate the pain through the intense training. Shortly after, Mike underwent surgery and was still able to commission into the United States Army Reserve with his classmates in the spring of 2016!

Fast forward to December 2017 – sharp, “piercing” hip pain on the other side that occurred when walking and working out. Mike underwent surgery with Dr. Nho once again. With an upcoming intense 4-month training coming up, he dedicated himself to making rehab a priority and successfully completed the training. Mike says:

"I have ZERO pain when I run. Without Dr. Nho and the staff at Rush Orthopedics, I would not have been able to fulfil my military obligations. They provide excellent evaluation pre surgery, are incredibly diligent in their craft, and check in regularly post operation. They are outstanding medical professionals and deserve all the respect and praise in the world.

Thank you Dr. Nho and all of the staff at Rush Orthopedics that helped me get back to 100% and continue to serve in the Army Reserve today!"
